We Provide Experienced Historic Preservation and Planning Services to Assist Individual Property Owners, Developers and Agencies

Delcamp Planning & Preservation (DP&P) brings a wealth of knowledge to provide experienced historic preservation and planning services. We offer expertise in historic preservation planning, preservation project management, and public history along with complex development planning processes and services to agencies. Founding Principal Teri Delcamp has supervised historic preservation, development processing and customer service sections of several city planning departments in Southern California.

Our firm has extensive experience in preparation and review of historic building evaluations, historic surveys, CEQA and NEPA analyses, and management of historic site projects meeting the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and Guidelines for Preservation, Restoration and Rehabilitation. We have developed and/or implemented historic preservation incentive programs for several cities including the Mills Act.

In addition, the DP&P team is well versed in managing the most complex development project processing for cities, providing excellent customer service, plan checks, mitigation monitoring, General Plan amendments and zoning ordinances, and managing and contributing to the preparation of design review and cultural resource guidelines.

We meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications standards in History, Architectural History and Historic Preservation. We have served at the Associate, Senior and Principal Planner levels with municipal planning departments. Bringing our experienced historic preservation and planning services to the table is the best way to make complicated government processes less burdensome for you as our client.

DP&P’s primary goal is to assist homeowners and developers in preparing historical property research reports that can be used for development project applications, environmental studies and historical landmark designation and Mills Act contract applications. Because DP&P has past experience working for several cities, we know what the planning and preservation staff are looking for.

DP&P is also available to provide a range of services to planning and preservation departments with cities and counties. We provide third-party reviews of historical reports, can assemble a team of professionals to conduct historic district surveys, assist with various government-to-government consultations, develop and implement historic preservation programs and incentives including preservation elements, ordinances and Mills Act programs.

DP&P also serves as extensions of staff for processing development projects and providing plan check and planning inspection services.
